How do I store a baby doll with weighted eyes?
my daughter has a baby doll which was quite expensive with eyes that close when lying down. I know there is a right and a wrong way to store them...face up or face down??
I would definitely store the doll face down if possible. I also recommend taking cotton pads and lightly cover the each of the dolls eyes with one or two cotton pads for each eye. I always use two because it's more padding and then to hold the cotton pads in place I use a rubber band over her head placing it on the back of her head and gently over the cotton pads over the dolls eyes. This is how I also prepare all dolls for shipment too whether the eyes are weighted or not. Preparing them this way and packing them face down in the box puts the odds in your favor the eyes won't get knocked out of her head in shipping. I would definitely pack your doll face down especially because the eyes are weighted.
