What type of themes would be good for a surprise eleven year old birthday party?
I have a beautiful ten year old who is going on 30, lol . well she is turning eleven in Aug. I have no idea what type of theme to do for her party, I would like to avoid asking her as I want it to be a surprise. She is into the whole rock/gothic (kinda) stage. Straight A student , good citizen and excels at everything she has tried education wise. Oh and loves to read!! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We skipped 10 birthday due to unfortunate financial situation, so this year I want to go all out but not too big, I wont have anything to do for her 16th lol, well unless I save and take her to Hawaii,lol
For a 13th birthday, we made a treasure hunt of the downtown area that ended up at an ice cream parlor. We sent out invites that sounded like a quest and had all of the girls begin at the big tree (or you could do some other landmark). We told our daughter we would take her downtown to have a mom, dad, and child day where we hung out and had fun. We met her friends at the tree and it was a blast. Because we had Hilton Hotel points, we rented a room at a local nice hotel and the girls had a blast with the sleepover in there. It was really worth it because there was a pool and free breakfast. The hotel part is totally optional with the theme and you could choose to have the girls brought home after the ice cream/treat. You could also host a sleepover at your house. I hope this helped!
