Do you think that toys these days...?
are kind of...well...weird??
i mean, there are bratz, who are like...barbie wh**es (bratz babyz or whatever are a little better though)
and there are all these electronic toys...i mean i remember when i was young having lots of fun with non electronics.
and all the toys promote materialism and stuff...like you see the barbie dolls with all the stupid makeup and stuff...(and when you push the button on the back it says in a whiny valley girl teen voice "LETS GO TO THE MALL") like seriously where can you find a good old fashioned toy that isnt decked out in a bagillion assessories and isnt annoyingly electronic?
yeah, i'm asking this because i went to the store to buy my cousins christmas presents (im 13) and i was like "what the...?" to most of the toys there. i mean, what happened to the toys??? gah!
so, what are your opinions on this??
I tell hubby this stuff all the time about the toys. We have a 3 year old and 5 year old. It seems like everything they have at the store talks, sings, lights up or something. We played legos for hours linken logs and tinker toys. The I am geting my son lenkin logs for christmas and blocks or something like that. he loves to build. He all so wants a fishing pole. My daughter I am not usre what I am geting yet. I know she wants some books and something pretty as she said.
